![]() What’s The Interior Like On A 2020 Audi RS Q3? Being an Audi driver for many years, I had become accustomed to the RS badged models being a bit over the top in every aspect of their design. This is the point where I started to feel that this may not be all that I would expect from the RS badge. The wheels were just right too – the angular design worked well with the grey, really setting it off. Overall the styling is nice, sharp lines with muscular flares on the front and rear arches. If you don’t want to be too much of a showboat, this could be what you’re after in a performance SUV. But it didn’t scream to the heavens like the bigger RS6 would, saying “I am high performance, hear me roar”. It had some aggressive styling, big grilles and silver accents that gave it a sporty feel. The Daytona gray, blended into the rest of the cars in the dealership, leaving the RSQ3 as a bit of a sleeper. It’s a real shame that the review car was not in the punchy blue or green, that would have really made a statement. Our review car was optioned with the panoramic glass sunroof ($4,000), 21” alloys in 5-arm trigon design ($2,000) and the B&O premium sound system ($1,500), which brought the retail price to $119,400.įor a full range of the specs and options available for the RSQ3 and RSQ3 Sportback, check out Audi New Zealand’s website – WEBSITE LINK First Impressions Of The 2020 Audi RS Q3 There are several other options available that are worth noting: panoramic glass sunroof, black appearance package, 3-zone climate control, Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, and Matrix LED headlights as tested on the 2020 Audi RS6. There is a surprising range of wheels available one 20-inch option and five 21-inch options. I would have loved to see the new Kyalami Green finish. Sadly our RSQ3 was spec’d with the pearl effect Daytona Gray Pearlescent. Some really great colours, which work really well with the RSQ3’s design. The range is a bit outside the normal colour pallet for Audi, with a bright blue, bright green and deep orange available within the solid colour range. The RSQ3’s come available in 8 different colours: 3 metallic, 1 pearl effect and 4 solid paint finishes. That’s pretty quick for a mid-size family SUV, when you consider a new 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman, a 2-seater sports car can only do 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds. They are equipped with the standard 7-speed S tronic gearbox which enables them to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds. Both are powered by a 2.4-litre turbo 5-cylinder engine that produces 294kW (400hp) of power and 400Nm of torque. Unlike the typical Audi range there is no S model in the Q3 between the base and RS options.īoth the RSQ3 and the RSQ3 Sportback come with the same specs. There is one variant of the Q3 Sportback, 45 TFSI Sportback S Line ($87,900) and two variants of the RSQ3. There are 3 variants available for the standard Q3, 35TFSI Advanced ($60,900), 45TFSI Advanced ($74,900), and 45TFSI S-Line ($84,900). The Q3 range now consists of 2 main shapes, the standard SUV Q3 and the Q3 Sportback. Now it was time to test the first Q3 to have the coveted Audi RS badge, the 400hp 2020 Audi RSQ3.įrom the grown up Q3 to the self-confident and extroverted Q3 Sportback, is this the way things will go as the SUV market now holds over 50% stake in all vehicles sold in New Zealand?
